This photo was taken in Johnston Canyon, located on the Icefields Parkway in Alberta, Canada.

Despite being the very beginning of Fall in Canada, a snowstorm hit the Banff region the day before this photo was taken. Our plans of hiking into deep in the Rocky Mountains backcountry were dashed but we knew epic adventures were still out there! We decided to head to Johnston Canyon and although I had been before during summer, the deep coat of winter elevated the whole experience. This photo highlights the unique contrast the deep blue water made against the stacked, white covered pine trees.

Original Specs

Hand restored white washed Pine makes this frame. Printed on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper with a fully backed, wire hang system. 35cm wide x 40cm high. All prints are limited edition and come with a signed and numbered card of authenticity.
